The Listening Path offers confidential counselling for children and young people. Information is only shared if there are safety concerns. Sessions take place with consent and can end at any time. As part of Best Foot Forward, safeguarding is always prioritised.

While counselling is confidential, information may be shared where there is a concern about safety or risk of harm, to ensure appropriate support and protection.

Before counselling begins, informed consent is obtained from the young person and, where appropriate, their parent or carer.

Consent includes understanding confidentiality, how information is used, and the right to withdraw at any time.
